TEHRAQN.(Iranart) - T he book “Kafka in Berlin” written by Hans Gerd Koch about life of the surrealist author Franz Kafka during the early 1920’s has been translated in Persian.

Writer and translator Nasser Ghiasi has translated the book from the original German text. It is published by Nashr-e Now, Honaronline reported on its Persian website. Hans-Gerd Koch, 64, has been working at the Kafka Research Center at the Bergische University in Germany since 1981. In the book, he covers memories of Kafka from points of view of his publisher, colleagues, friends, even a park visitor who occasionally saw the author in Berlin. The memories and recollections bring Kafka’s personality to life.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) was a Czech novelist and short story writer widely regarded as one of the major figures of 20th century literature. The term “Kafkaesque” refers to the style in which he wrote and is considered by many as a synonym for surreal.
