Hunting for Ostensible Pet Killer

TEHRAN.(Iranart) - Cheshmeh Publication has published the “Injured Tigers of Hakimieh”, a satirical novel for young adults.

According to the Persian website of Mehr News Agency, the 126-page story is written by Hesam Heydari.

Heydari began his career by writing for the highly popular satire weekly magazine Golagha. He now writes for the satirical section of the Persian-language newspaper Qanoun. 

The novel is about a group of 12 and 13 year old children who, influenced by gangster films, set up a gang in the building they live. Injured Tigers is the name they pick for their gang. First they do little than going around the neighborhood and doing mischievous things and teasing others, But when their favorite pet, a hen named Jennifer, goes missing, things take a turn. Assuming that the hen has been murdered, they take an oath to find those behind its perceived murder.
