Atila Pesyani Will Stage ‘Tiki-Taka’ in Germany

TEHRAN – (Iranart)- T he Iranian Cultural Festival ‘Termeh’ will open in Munich on February 28 and run through March 6. As part of the festival, actor and theater director Atila Pesyani will take his play ‘Tiki-Taka’ on stage at Gasteig Cultural Center on March 1.

First performed in Tehran six years ago, the play is about a traditional, conservative father and his son who has completely different ideas from his father. Yet they struggle to reach a mutual understanding, ISNA reported.

Atila Pesyani and his real son Khosrow perform the play. Tiki-taka is a style of playing football characterized by short passing and movements, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession. The style is primarily associated with La Liga club Barcelona.

As the performance begins Pesyani explains how the story of the play associates with football; believing mutual understanding in life is a technique like that of football.

Further at the Termeh Festival, a collection of documentaries will be screened at Gasteig and Neues Maxim Cinema, one of which is about Saeideh Qods, founder of Mahak, a charity foundation in Tehran that helps children with cancer. Concerts by Persian singers and bands are also in the program.
