Mohsen Mostafavi Will Judge at World Architecture Festival

TEHRAN –(Iranart)- I ranian-American architect Mohsen Mostafavi is a member of the jury of the 11th World Architecture Festival, November 28-30 to be held in the Netherlands.

The venue will be the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam, the festival and awards is the world’s largest architectural awards program.

According to festival website, this year’s event will have 130 members in its jury panel, four of whom are tagged as super jurors, including Mostafavi.

Mostafavi is dean of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the US, and was the head of the Global Holcim Awards jury in  Zurich, Switzerland, in 2015. His work focuses on modes and processes of urbanization and the interface between technology and aesthetics.

The 64-year-old has written many books including ‘On Weathering: The Life of Buildings in Time’ (co-authored in 1993) which received the American Institute of Architects prize for writing on architectural theory, ‘Delayed Space (co-authored in 1994), ‘Approximations’ (2002) and ‘Surface Architecture’ (2002).
