TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A book in Persian and English containing images of a collection of Iranian jewelry on the theme of peace is scheduled to be released soon.
The collection created by a group of promising designers was displayed in an exhibit titled “Peace and Jewelry” at Tehran’s Sadabad Cultural-Historical Complex last week.
“The book will help introduce the art of Persian jewelry design to the world and will provide an opportunity for promising young Iranian designers to attend international events,” curator Neda Majidi told the Persian service of Honaronline on Friday.
She also said that there has been an increasing tendency toward conceptual art by the designers, adding, “Every day, many of those who are interested in conceptual art visited the exhibit to become more familiar with the new productions.”
Leather, wood, gold and stone were the main materials used in items displayed at the exhibition.
The exhibit was organized in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization.
