Fuman Calling
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- G ando Tour will take enthusiasts to Fuman, Gilan Province, to see two places the county is famous for.
The program is a two-day tour covering Masuleh Village and the stone medieval fortress of Rudkhan (Qal’eh-Rudkhan in Persian).
Masuleh is an old village with unique architecture in which the buildings are built into the mountain and are interconnected. Courtyards and roofs serve as pedestrian areas similar to streets. The spectacular architecture is popularly known as “the yard of the home above is the roof of the home below.”
Qal’eh-Rudkhan, the Sassanid fortress is spread across two mountain tips where visitors can see the surrounding mountains and ridges. The tour starts at 5am on December 14. A tourist bus will pick up visitors at 7-Tir Square. It should return at around Friday midnight. A 3-star hotel is booked for accommodation.
