TEHRAN.(Iranart) – An Iranian cultural week opened on Wednesday in the Budo Tomovic Cultural Center in Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro.
An exhibition of paintings by master of miniature Mahmud Farshchian, an exhibition of photos of Iranian tourist attractions, as well as film screening sessions have been arranged for the weeklong event, the organizers have announced.
Budo Tomovic Cultural Center Deputy Director Zoran Soskic, who was attending the opening ceremony, said that the visitors will surely enjoy viewing master Farshchian’s beautiful paintings, which are rooted in Persian mystic poetry.
In a brief speech, Iran’s cultural attaché in Serbia and Montenegro Mohsen Soleimani expressed his hope that organizing such events would help the two countries expand cultural relations.
“Painting Pool” by Maziar Miri, “Crazy Castle” by Abolhassan Davudi, Where Are My Shoes?” by Kiumars Purahmad, and “Kissing the Moon-Like Face” by Homayun Asadian are among the films selected to be screened during the week.
