Iranian films to compete in Batumi festival
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Two Iranian films have been selected for the main competition at the Batumi International Art-House Film Festival in Georgia, the organizers have announced.
“A Man of Integrity” by Mohammad Rasoulof and “Take Off” by Ehsan Abdipur will compete with films from Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary and England at the festival, which will be held from September 17 to 24.
“A Man of Integrity” is about a goldfish farmer who is battling corporate oppression in northern Iran.
“Take Off” tells the story of Shirzad, a young adventurous man whose life has taken an unexpected twist after a night out and the following unpredictable events.
