TEHRAN –(Iranart)- “Zona” by Iranian director Tufan Nahan-Qodrati was selected as best short at the 19th Fiaticorti Film Festival in Italy, the organizers announced on Friday.
A man is brought to court because of a woman with whom he has a relationship that leads to a pregnancy. To verify their claims the woman takes a DNA test that reveals a great secret about her life.
The FiatiVeneti Prize for the best short of the special section was presented to “Asfalto#1 – Pensare metà” by Italian director Dimitri Feltrin.
“Belle à croquer” by French director Axel Courtière received the Fiaticomici Prize for best short comedy while “El Niño Que Quería Volar” by Spanish director Jorge Muriel won the Popular Jury Award.
Roberto Citran was crowned best actor for his role in “Mon Clochard” by Gian Marco Pezzoli from Italy.
Italian philosopher Umberto Curi was the president of the jury, which included critic Alessandro Cinquegrani and filmmaker Marco Segato.
The Fiaticorti Film Festival was held in the northeastern Italian city of Treviso.
