Macbeth: Tyrannical Ruler
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – J ustin Kurzel’s 2015 movie “Macbeth” is to have one screening followed by a review session attended by film director and critic Ali Tadayyon at God Father Café on August 10, Tiwall.com wrote.
It is based on William Shakespeare’s play by the same name. Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne, but becomes racked with guilt and paranoia as the tyrannical ruler of Scotland.
In the cast are Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, David Thewlis, Paddy Considine, Jack Reynor, Sean Harris and Elizabeth Debicki.
The venue is at No. 876, College Intersection, Enqelab Avenue.
