Robbing Pilgrims
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- S ocial drama ‘Invitation’ directed by Mehrdad Farid hit the screens of cinemas across the country on Wednesday.
The film is the story of a man who robs the pilgrims who have come to the shrine city of Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, to pay homage to Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims. It follows the unfortunate travelers and narrates their stories.
Himidreza Azarang, Shaqayeq Farahani, Mitra Hajjar, Shahab Shadabi, Behzad Jafari and Saman Saffari are in the cast, Cinematicket wrote.
Book Garden, Kourosh and Azadi cineplexes as well as Iran and Ferdowsi cinemas are some of the venues screening the movie in the capital.
