4 Days of Korean Films

TEHRAN –(Iranart)- I ranian Artists Forum in collaboration with the South Korean Embassy is holding the 6th Korean Film Festival in Tehran.

Inaugurated on December 25, the festival is scheduled to continue for four days at IAF, located at Honarmandan Park on Iranshahr Street, the venue’s website wrote.

‘Canola’ directed by Chang  and ‘4th Place’ by  Jung Ji-woo were the two films screened on the opening day and on the second day the festival presented ‘World of Us’ by Ga-Eun Yoon and ‘Hope’ by Lee Joon-ik.

On December 27  IAF will screen ‘Tunnel’ by Kim Seong-hun and ‘End of Winter’ by Kim Dae-hwan.

In ‘Tunnel’ a car salesman fights for survival inside a collapsed tunnel while rescue workers race against time to save him.

‘End of Winter’ is about a retired teacher who while eating at a restaurant with his family, announces that he plans to get a divorce. Without explaining his decision, he leaves his angry family in confusion.

The festival will end with Kang Je-gyu’s film ‘My Way’. The film is based on the true story of a Korean man named Yang Kyoungjong who was captured by American soldiers in the Second World War.
