TEHRAN –(Iranart)- The Tabarestanis ‘ is a documentary written and directed by Mohsen Abdolvahab, currently on screen.
It is about a group of young engineers who decide to set up a steel mill in a city in Mazandaran Province, in north Iran, while many industrial units are in the process of downing shutters due to the crises caused by the 1980-88 Iraq-Iran war, Cinematicket.org wrote.
Tabaristan was the name applied to a vast region around Mount Damavand, including the present day provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran and Golestan, as well as the northern parts of Semnan. As Abdolvahab says, it is one in a series of documentaries he has made with the intention of promoting entrepreneurship and creating jobs.
Gholamreza Rasoulian, Abdol Hossein Shakeri, Mohammad Mazaheri, Mohammad Hussein Ebtehaj, and Ahmad Hosseinzadeh are in the cast.
