Iran to host German film festival
TEHRAN – (Iranart)- Seven movies by German filmmakers will be screened during a weeklong festival in Iran.
The German Film Week is scheduled to be held from October 29 to November 4 at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran, the Pars Theater Hall in Kerman and the Golestan Cineplex in Shiraz, the organizers announced on Wednesday.
“Hotel Lux” by Leander Haussmann, “The Foster Boy” by Markus Imboden, “In Between Worlds” by Feo Aladag and “Phoenix” by Christian Petzold are among the films.
“Soul Birds” by Thomas Riedelsheimer, “Father” by Visar Morina and “Yella” by Christian Petzold will also go on screen.
German journalist and film critic Toby Ashraf is planning to be in Iran to attend review sessions during the event.
The Embassy of Germany and Iran’s Art and Experience Cinema are the organizers of the film week.
