TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A n Iranian edition of the Pulitzer-winning play, ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’, penned by David Mamet, American playwright, essayist, screenwriter and film director, will go on stage at Payetakht Theater on Oct. 29.

The piece directed by Farid Rahmati is about four desperate real-estate agents who are prepared to engage in any number of unethical, illegal acts—from lies and flattery to bribery, threats, intimidation and burglary—to strike undesirable real-estate deals to unwitting prospective buyers.

The story is based on Mamet’s experience having previously worked in a similar office.

The title comes from two real-estate properties mentioned in the play: Glengarry Highlands, and Glen Ross Farms, mentioned by several characters as having been very lucrative.

The director also plays in the work, along with Armin Mahdilou, Amin Raqibdoust, Sepehr Tehranchi, Mahyar Eslami, Danial Mohseni and Ali Ashmand.
