TEHRAN. (Iranart) - T he 125-minute documentary ‘Drums of War’ (Bazm-e Razm), directed by Seyed Vahid Hosseini, tells the history of music in Iran during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war in the form of interviews with 20 distinguished Iranian musicians and singers.
Majid Derakhshani, Bijan Kamkar, Kambiz Roshanravan, Hesamedin Seraj and Ali Akbar Shekarchi are among the interviewees, aecinema.ir reported.
The film won the Crystal Simorgh for the best research in documentary at the 35th Fajr Film Festival.
It is currently on screen at four cinemas including Kourosh and Charsou Cineplexes, Cinema Museum and Iranian Artists Forum.
