TEHRAN – (Iranart)- Fish Lake’ directed by Maryam Doosti is currently showing in cinemas in the country. The movie, premiered at the 35th Fajr Film Festival in February, is Doosti’s first feature film in which she has dealt with the issue of 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war (locally known as Sacred Defense).
It is about families who lost their near and dear ones in the bloody war that killed a million people on both sides, cinematicket.org reported. The cast includes Nader Fallah, Setareh Eskandari, Afshin Hashemi, Hadiseh Tehrani, Sahra Asadollahi, Hossein Basheh-Ahangar, Mojtaba Pirzadeh and Laleh Eskandari. Kourosh, Azadi, Mega Mall and Mellat cineplexes are screening the film along with Shahed and Javan cinemas.
